Project description
In Taiwan, a bride’s dowry consists of items prepared by her family and brought to the groom’s home. The dressing table is one of the essential pieces of dowry furniture for Taiwanese brides. Its design symbolizes the parents’ hopes and blessings for their daughter’s new life, wishing the newlyweds a prosperous and happy future.
This dressing table is primarily made of Taiwan Cypress, preserving the traditional Chinese furniture style while emphasizing cultural significance. The mirror design features an oval central mirror supported by two side stands, symbolizing the unwavering support of parents for their daughter. This design encourages the bride to remember her parents’ love and care while preparing for the day.
Additionally, the legs of the table are designed with a thick top and a tapered bottom, along with rounded corners, symbolizing parents’ wishes for their daughter to be adaptable, resilient, and tolerant in her new life. This design also ensures practicality and safety.
