Project description

This project explores an innovative zero-waste pattern design that fully utilizes materials by creating garments from folded rectangular fabric pieces. By integrating Eastern origami-inspired techniques with Western modular design, this approach results in multifunctional garments that align with sustainable principles.

Instead of purchasing a complete garment, consumers can buy modular folded components, allowing them to configure their own personal style. This flexibility ensures a better fit for individual preferences and extends the garment’s lifespan. Moreover, the modular design enhances functionality, making the garments easier to repair and recycle—key aspects of circular design strategies in sustainable fashion.

Ultimately, this project showcases how geometric space can be transformed to fit the human body, demonstrating that everything can be reshaped and adapted, pushing the boundaries of fashion innovation.
