[Design Description]
This art installation, based on the theme "To Gather," aims to re-emphasize the connection between humans and nature, as well as among people, which is becoming increasingly distant in modern society. Spanning a vast grassy park, the installation serves as a canvas, offering an unforgettable visual and emotional experience to its audience.
Around the installation, cloud-shaped path of light on the ground, created using red LEDs, is unfolded. This radiant cloud-shaped floor symbolizes purity and peace, warmly welcoming visitors. As night falls, guided by the light, visitors can escape their daily routines and find serenity in the floating cloud of light.
Above, LED lights, comprising circular tubes with varying shades of red, are suspended, forming a group of cloud-shaped figures. These red clouds express the energy of passion and vitality, creating a fantastical atmosphere, as if bathed in the warm glow of a sunset. The contrast between the cloud-shaped lights and the surroundings creates a visual impact, imbuing the installation with profound symbolism and leaving a lasting impression on its audience.
In this space, people naturally gather, share their stories, meditate together, and momentarily escape the chaos of everyday life, experiencing genuine relaxation. The cloud-shaped inground lighting encourages visitors to congregate in a natural space, echoing the communal gatherings of ancient times.
The installation's scale and form evoke the majesty of nature, while the harmonious blend of human-made technology (LED lights) and natural forms (clouds) represents a sustainable coexistence in modern society.
Furthermore, the installation is dynamic, changing over time. During the day, it presents a subtle beauty, blending with natural light, while at night, it transforms into a dazzling spectacle, captivating its audience. As the seasons change, the installation adapts, harmonizing with its surroundings and revealing new aspects of itself.
"Cloudhaven" offers a multifaceted experience, transcending mere visual appreciation. Visitors can engage with the installation using all their senses: sight, sound, and touch. The rustling of the grass in the wind, the texture of the grassy floor reflecting the light, and the shadow play created by the cloud lights all contribute to an immersive experience, allowing visitors to become one with nature.
This installation also emphasizes the importance of environmental protection. All lighting is energy-efficient LED lights installed inside recycled acrylic ring tubes, actively utilizing eco-friendly materials. Also, energy-efficient lithium-ion battery is the main energy source. Additionally, the installation process prioritized preserving the surrounding natural environment, and ongoing maintenance ensures the ecosystem's balance is maintained.
In conclusion, "Cloudhaven" provides a unique experience for modern individuals to pause, reflect, communicate with others, and connect with nature. Through this, we can take small steps together towards a better world. This project is a meaningful endeavor that conveys not only the beauty of art but also social messages and environmental values.
